Jason is a product of the Leeds Corinthians junior setup, playing throughout his youth in the forwards. He made his senior debut in 2003 and quickly established himself as a key player in the second row. Jason is a destructive ball carrier and leader on the field, who is equally adept as prop or in the second row.

Jason is a keen environmentalist. He enjoys nature and can be seen most days frequenting zoos across the country. He particularly likes Hippos and Gorillas, animals he has a strong connection with.

Jason likes to recycle and save the planet. He does not use a kit bag and makes do with two Morrison's bags for life, saving 322g of CO2 a year. This eco warrior hasn’t stopped there though, and has taken to recycling shoes. Jason has now done away with his wardrobe of shoes and simply wears one pair of brown rigger boots for work, casual wear and nights out.
