Message from the coach:
I just want to start by saying how myself, Sam and Brendan are really pleased with the numbers consistently turning up training. Having 25+ lads showing up every Tuesday /Thursday makes the sessions so much better and the intensity has definitely gone up a level these last 3 weeks.
After our first match of the season ended with a narrow loss away to burley we asked the lads for a response and we definitely got one. The set piece was excellent and we played some really good stuff in open play.

Message from Captain:
it was a game where we played for the badge from the 1st whistle to the last against a good well drilled team who took control early on dominating possession when they eventually broke through for 2 quick fire tries as first half went on we built into the game really well. we continued to build the pressure with a few good plays and a few penalties which put us on front foot before a unexpected cross field kick by Jack Bradley put Riley mawson in the corner .
The second half got away from the well spirited lads where injuries and lack of numbers definitely made the difference.
Ladies rounders team presentation night
Saturday night saw our Rounders team captains set up for the 2024 season presentation, this year has seen the most success in 10 years for our Ladies rounders team, even though due to number of rounders scored meant they moved down the table they still managed 4 wins out of 9 and some great team and personal performances, the awards started with each squad member receiving a certificate and a captain's speech to overview their great attributes to the team let's not forget their well deserved drinks tokens. The awards then went on to see , a 3 way split decision on the players player award going to , Janine who also collected the most player of the matches this year, Tawny and Louise. Followed by our Sportsperson of the year award going to Sheryl for her dedication and determination. Followed by the player of the year and most rounders scored winner Kim Doran. The night then went on with a crazy raffle and Disco. We thank the whole team for their dedication this year and onto building for the 2025 season. The rounders team take a short break in the dark nights, but if you would like to join the team please contact the club and they will pass on contact details for the team.
