Biography

Phil Blong is a Corinthians legend, playing at the club since junior levels up to senior rugby and now the Vets team. He was a key member of the silver trophy winning side of 1998. Phil knows rugby union like the back of his hand, and uses this knowledge to unlock defences with ease.

Phil's main hobby is dressing up as a woman. He once dressed up as Freddie Mercury for the club "stars in your eyes" event wearing a pair of well fitting stockings and suspenders. Rumours persist these were his own. The performance seemed well rehearsed too. He possesses other outfits, such as the one seen in his profile picture.

Phil is the club expert on the noble game of spoons. He has adjudicated on many games, including the most memorable battle involving Corinthians unbeaten champion David "Shack" Shackleton and Jason Care. If any players or members wish to partake in a game of spoons, speak to Phil or Shack.

Favourite Corinthians player - Danny Boyes, had to step into the legend that is John Duggans boots when he took over at No 10, not enough credit given to him for that. He’s a very hard working player, great step, good pace, great boot, can do the unexpected, very strong tackler. At 10 plays like an extra forward in defense, like myself he likes a good interception, unlike me though he finishes most of them. Oh and put me in for loads of tries, which is nice. He’s also been playing forever, he will be soon classed if not already a legend of the club. ( I have no way received any money from Danny Boyes).

Who is Last in shower - I’m definitely last in the shower but by no way the longest.

Worst dressed - Brian Kelly, leather pants were never cool!
