Valiant effort by the 2nd Team in their first home game

This was Leeds first game of the season at home. We started the game with a depleted side due to players letting the side down by not turning up.

Leeds only had 12 men so Bramley loaned two players. We would like to thank Bramley for this and for one of their players stepping up to referee the game. Despite the shortage of players the game was very competitive regardless of the score. Bramley had a full team and 4 substitutes.

Leeds kicked off and put pressure on Bramley which kept Bramley in their half. Leeds broke the deadlock by scoring first due to good forward work by James Easter who scored the first try. Ollie Logan converted the try but unfortunately Bramley then scored three unanswered tries which took us to half time and a score of 7-15.

Second half kicked off by Bramley.

By this time Leeds had lost two players (one due to other commitments and one due to injury which was Martin Liddle).
Leeds finished the second half with only 12 players. The whole Leeds team gave all they could and Bramley took advantage of the tired Leeds players.

Bramley scored another 6 tries – Leeds did everything they could but due to tiredness there was little more they could do as Bramley used their substitutes to replenish their side. Leeds had the last word when loose head prop Martin scored in the last minute and Ollie Logan converted the try taking score to 14-48.

Although score seems one-sided it was a competitive game. There was no man of the match given as the whole team worked so hard.
